There may well be an app for just about everything, but such idiosyncratic patterns as in the picture on the right tend not to come out of a computer. At least, that’s what the designer who produced the artwork for our runner thinks. She relies on the traditional tools such as pencil, paintbrush, India ink and paper for her creative process. Following the first drafts, she paints for days – sometimes weeks – until every little leaf has exactly the shape and colour she has in mind. We think it’s worth it!
